About the Role
As our company continues its rapid expansion into new regional markets, establishing robust banking relationships is critical to our operational success. We are seeking a highly organized and proactive Banking Operations Intern to join our Banking and Finance Operations team during this exciting growth phase.
Key Responsibilities
- KYC & Compliance Documentation: Assist in gathering, organizing, securely packaging, and submitting the necessary KYC and corporate documents (e.g., Certificates of Incorporation, director registers) required for new bank account setups.
- Pipeline Management: Maintain and update the bank onboarding tracker daily, ensuring all internal stakeholders have real-time visibility into the status of pending accounts and outstanding requirements.
- Administrative Support: Facilitate communication with banking partners by drafting responses to basic follow-up queries and fulfilling requests for updated signatures or missing files.
- Process Improvement: Identify administrative bottlenecks in the current onboarding workflow and help build a standardized "Bank Onboarding Checklist/Playbook" for future use.

Must-Have Requirements
- Education: on the final semester or fresh graduate in a Bachelor's degree program in Finance, Business Administration, Accounting, Economics, or a closely related field.
- Attention to Detail: Exceptional accuracy and meticulousness, as even minor errors in banking and compliance documentation can delay account setups.
- Organizational Skills: Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple document checklists and deadlines across different banking partners simultaneously.
- Communication: Strong professional written and verbal communication skills; comfortable drafting emails to external banking representatives.
- Software Proficiency: Solid working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Excel, Word) and/or Google Workspace (Sheets, Docs).
- Work Ethic: Proactive, eager to learn, and comfortable handling repetitive but critical administrative tasks in a fast-paced environment.
Nice-to-Have Requirements (Bonus Skills)
- Domain Knowledge: Basic familiarity with KYC (Know Your Customer), AML (Anti-Money Laundering), or corporate compliance concepts.
- Previous Experience: Prior internship or coursework experience in corporate treasury, banking operations, or legal/compliance administration.
