- [ ] Set up MetaMask and make a test transaction
- [ ] Create or update your GitHub profile
- [ ] Register an ENS name (yourname.eth)

Week 2: Build
- [ ] Complete one small project (deploy a contract, build a Dune dashboard, or write 3 educational threads)

Where to find Web3 jobs
| Source | Best for |
|---|---|
| hashtagweb3.com (this site!) | All Web3 roles — engineering, marketing, PM, and more |
| Protocol Discord servers | Roles posted before public listings |
| Crypto Twitter | Founders often post directly |
| Web3-specific Telegram groups | Regional and niche opportunities |
Application tips
Do: Mention you have used the product. Link to your GitHub, Dune, or portfolio. Keep it concise.
Do not: Write a generic cover letter. Mention you want "exposure to crypto." Apply without looking at the product.
The 90% rule: Most applicants have not tried the product. If you have, you are already in the top 10%. If you can offer specific product feedback, you are in the top 1%.
After the offer
- Understand your compensation: base salary (usually in fiat or stablecoins) + token grants (vesting schedule, cliff period)
- Set up security: hardware wallet for any token compensation
- Read the protocol documentation cover to cover
- Join internal channels and introduce yourself
- Ask for a 30-60-90 day plan from your manager
Congratulations
