World Foundation is hiring a Head of Community and Ecosystem (Remote).
About the Organization
World Foundation serves as the steward of World, an open-source protocol supported by a global community of developers, individuals, economists, and technologists.
World is building a real human network designed to accelerate people in the age of AI. As bots and autonomous agents reshape the internet, people, institutions, and applications need a trusted way to confirm who is a real human while preserving privacy.
The Foundation supports and expands the network's self-sufficiency, including through protocol governance, grants, community affairs, and ecosystem development. Tools for Humanity is a core World contributor and operates World App. This role is hired by and represents the World Foundation.
The Opportunity & Scope
As AI and autonomous agents reshape the internet, proving who is human while preserving privacy is becoming critical infrastructure. World ID already serves as a trust layer for consumer platforms and enterprises, and our goal is to make World ID the default trust layer for agents. This role leads that push.

- Identify important AI and Web3 conferences, events, and communities, and ensure the Foundation is represented in the right places.
- Build relationships with developers, builders, researchers, investors, founders, opinion leaders, media (traditional and new or emerging), and ecosystem partners.
- Translate complex technical, governance, and ecosystem work into clear communications for different audiences.
- Partner with Tools for Humanity's communications and marketing teams to coordinate messaging and represent the Foundation's perspective.
- Manage the Events Manager and Grants Specialist, and lead external communications, community, and growth agencies and contractors where appropriate.
- Support the Foundation's grants and ecosystem strategy by identifying high- partners and opportunities.
- Travel regularly to build relationships and represent World at relevant events.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Significant experience in strategic communications, community, ecosystem, media, or a related function, ideally in crypto, AI, technology, or open source.
- Fluency in Web3 and AI communities, including the leading companies, researchers, founders, conferences, and industry conversations.
- Excellent writing, communication, and judgment, with experience engaging technical audiences, developers, founders, investors, media, and opinion leaders.
- Experience managing teams and overseeing communications, community, or growth agencies and contractors.
- Ability to build trusted relationships and operate independently in a fast-moving environment.
- Willingness to travel approximately 20-25% of the time.
Preferred / Nice-to-Have Qualifications
- Experience with grants, ecosystem development, partnerships, or community programs.
