Requirements: 5+ years of experience as a Project Manager in IT companies. Hands-on experience with production incidents, root cause analysis, postmortems, and understanding of reliability concepts. 2+ years of prior hands-on experience in a technical role (Backend Development, Frontend Development, Tech Lead or DevOps Engineering) is required Experience working directly with DevOps teams is strongly preferred. Hands-on experience managing multiple concurrent projects. Strong background in Scrum/Kanban/Waterfall/Hybrid methodologies. Hard Skills: Deep understanding of project lifecycle management (SDLC). Ability to plan, track, and deliver infrastructure and platform engineering projects. Solid understanding of DevOps principles, CI/CD pipelines, monitoring/observability and release management. Experience in managing cross-functional teams (5+ team members). Proficient with project management tools: Jira, Confluence, MS Project, Smartsheet. Strong skills in gathering, analyzing, and documenting business and technical requirements (e.g., SRS, Use Cases, User Stories, infrastructure requirements). Ability to read and understand technical documentation, architecture diagrams, and infrastructure specifications independently, without relying solely on the team for translation. Soft Skills: Strong leadership with a focus on motivating and inspiring the team in high-pressure, fast-moving environments. Proven ability to create a shared sense of purpose, aligning team members around common goals and product vision. Skilled in building trust and psychological safety within distributed and hybrid teams. Encourages a culture of ownership, accountability, and continuous improvement. Experienced in managing through ambiguity, providing clarity and focus during shifting priorities or requirement changes. Excellent stakeholder management: able to align interests between tech and business teams. High emotional intelligence; strong listener and facilitator who resolves conflicts constructively. Clear and persuasive communicator in both business and technical contexts. Credible with engineers: able to earn technical trust based on hands-on background rather than authority alone. Responsibilities: Lead the DevOps team to develop, maintain, and improve infrastructure and processes. Partner with engineering leads to prioritize technical debt and feature/infrastructure delivery work within the DevOps backlog - infrastructure upgrades, CI/CD pipeline improvements, monitoring/observability initiatives, security-related infrastructure work, incident postmortems and follow-ups. Plan and track infrastructure and platform engineering work at the task level - breaking down infrastructure epics into actionable tickets, estimating effort with engineers, and sequencing dependencies (e.g., migrations, environment provisioning, tooling rollouts). Coordinate DevOps on-call/incident processes with the team, ensuring incidents are logged, tracked, and followed up with corrective action items. Bridge communication between business, development and DevOps teams. Define and maintain roadmap and coordinate sprints. Identify and mitigate project risks, particularly those related to infrastructure reliability, security, and financial compliance. Facilitate Agile ceremonies: planning, daily standups, retrospectives. Track project performance and ensure alignment with business KPIs and goals (e.g., uptime, MTTR, infrastructure cost efficiency).
