What you'll be responsible for
You will own end-to-end accounting for revenue and partnership arrangements, ensuring accurate recognition, timely close, and complete disclosures across customer and partner incentives. You will maintain and improve internal controls and reporting, partner with commercial, legal, tax, and data teams to define accounting and control requirements, and support audits. You will identify, design, and implement AI and automation solutions - including generative models such as ChatGPT and Gemini - that reduce manual work, improve quality, and preserve human oversight, governance, and audit readiness.
What you'll work on
- Owning month-end and quarter-end close for revenue and partnerships, including subledger reviews, exceptions, journals and reconciliations
- Analyzing balance sheet and P&L movements, investigating anomalies and producing evidence-based commentary on key drivers
- Developing understanding of commercial economics, contract terms and data flows to ensure transactions are complete and accurately reflected
- Reviewing customer and partner arrangements and applying ASC 606 and US GAAP to incentives, revenue sharing and non-standard terms
- Designing and implementing AI-driven automation and process improvements using tools like ChatGPT and Gemini to reduce manual work while preserving human oversight and auditability
What you'll bring to Circle
Core Requirements
- 2+ years of relevant accounting or audit experience
- Professional accounting qualification (CPA, ACCA, ACA or equivalent)
- Strong knowledge of US GAAP, especially ASC 606, with hands-on experience in revenue recognition, partner incentives, variable consideration and balance sheet reconciliations
- Familiarity with generative AI models (ChatGPT, Gemini, etc.) and prompt development Preferred Requirements
- Experience with ERP systems and transaction subledgers (Oracle or similar) and month/quarter close activities
