Institutional Sales & Operations, Kalshi Prime

New York Office$200k – $250k/yrPosted today

What is Kalshi?

Kalshi has defined a new category: prediction markets. Kalshi allows people to trade on the outcome of any events and turn any question about the future into a financial asset. Kalshi fought for years and legalized prediction markets in the US for the first time in history, is currently the fastest growing financial market in America, and has thousands of markets across politics, economics, financials, weather, tech, AI, culture and more.

We believe prediction markets have the potential to be the largest financial market because they turn anything into a financial position.

  • Our vision: well... build the largest financial market on the planet.
  • Our mission: bring more truth to the world through the power of markets.

Our culture is simple: we hire really talented people, work really hard, and enjoy the climb. We are looking for ambitious and exceptional people to join our (relatively small) team to help us build the next generation of financial markets.

Role Roadmap

Kalshi is hiring an Institutional Sales & Operations team member to help scale Kalshi Prime and our growing perpetual futures business.

You'll be responsible for identifying, developing, and onboarding new institutional trading teams onto Kalshi, while helping those customers successfully navigate the integration and go-live process. Once onboarded, you'll continue to own relationships with the firms you bring onto the platform and provide the level of service expected by sophisticated institutional customers.

This is a highly execution-oriented role at the intersection of institutional sales, relationship management, and FCM operations. You should be equally comfortable sourcing a new trading firm, running an institutional sales call, managing a large pipeline, and working internally to solve an onboarding or integration issue.

Key Responsibilities

  • Source and develop relationships with institutional trading firms that could trade perpetual futures through Kalshi Prime
  • Own outbound prospecting across your existing network, LinkedIn, and other traditional institutional sales channels
  • Run introductory and follow-up conversations with prospective trading teams
  • Build and manage a large pipeline of institutional relationships from initial outreach through activation
  • Guide customers through onboarding, integration, and go-live, coordinating closely with Kalshi's Prime, Liquidity, Product, and Operations teams
  • Develop deep relationships with the trading teams you bring onto the platform and provide exceptional ongoing service
  • Help troubleshoot integration questions, product updates, errors, and other issues for institutional customers
  • Re-engage firms that have stalled during the onboarding process and help move them toward activation
  • Monitor customer activity and maintain regular check-ins to understand needs, identify issues, and drive deeper engagement
  • Support broader Kalshi Prime operational initiatives as the FCM continues to scale

Candidate Profile & Mindset

  • 2+ years of experience in institutional sales, financial services, brokerage, trading, or another B2B financial-markets environment
  • Demonstrated ability to originate and develop new commercial relationships
  • Extremely strong professionalism and communication skills; you can credibly represent Kalshi with sophisticated institutional counterparties
  • High EQ and an ability to build trust quickly with a wide range of customers
  • Strong organizational skills and comfort managing a high-volume CRM and sales pipeline
  • Familiarity with financial markets and an ability to quickly learn derivatives, perpetual futures, and market structure
  • Series 3 registration or the ability to obtain it within four weeks of joining
  • An existing network across proprietary trading firms, hedge funds, market makers, brokers, or other institutional trading organizations
  • Experience selling for an FCM, broker-dealer, exchange, prime broker, trading venue, or financial technology company
  • Experience helping institutional customers through technical integrations or onboarding
  • Familiarity with futures, derivatives, margin, or clearing
