We are looking for an AP/AR Accountant to support day-to-day accounting operations for our Cyprus entity.
In this role you will process primary documents and bank statements, perform reconciliations, handle supplier and employee payments, and support monthly payroll for Cyprus-based employees.
You will work closely with our Finance and HR teams to make sure all transactions are recorded accurately and on time.
Candidates must be based in Cyprus.
Key Responsibilities
- Accounts Payable & Receivable
- Process and record primary accounting documents: supplier invoices, contracts, receipts, and expense reports.
- Upload and process bank statements, and allocate transactions in the accounting system.
- Perform regular reconciliations with banks, suppliers, customers, and other counterparties.
- Prepare supplier and other company payments for approval.
- Monitor accounts payable and receivable, and follow up on outstanding balances.
- Process employee advances, reimbursements, business travel expenses, and expense reports.
- Maintain an organized archive of financial documentation.
- Payroll & Employee Payments
- Prepare and coordinate monthly payroll for Cyprus-based employees.
- Calculate salaries, bonuses, advances, reimbursements, and other employee-related payments.
- Handle payroll deductions and contributions, including PAYE, Social Insurance, and GHS/GESY.
- Support employee onboarding and offboarding from a payroll and financial administration perspective.
- Work closely with HR to ensure accurate payroll data and timely payments.
- 3+ year of experience in accounting, bookkeeping, or AP/AR.
- Experience processing primary documents, bank statements, and reconciliations.
- Understanding of Cyprus payroll procedures, including PAYE, Social Insurance, and GHS/GESY contributions.
- Confident Excel skills and experience with accounting software.
- Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and organizational skills.
- Willingness to learn and a proactive, hands-on approach.
- English B2+.
