At Improbable, we build and scale ambitious AI and Web3 ventures shaping the next generation of the internet.

We’re hiring for a venture building a next-generation blockchain for real-time, large-scale applications. Designed to overcome the speed and cost limitations of traditional blockchain infrastructure, the technology is fast, cost-efficient and fully EVM-compatible, enabling developers, creators and communities to build immersive products with greater ownership and interoperability.

The ecosystem includes a first-party DEX, a prediction markets protocol and several upcoming products.

About the role

Day-to-day scope for the Head of Marketing as described in the posting:

We are looking for a Head of Marketing to turn this technology and product portfolio into adoption, volume and a recognised market position.

This is the venture’s most senior marketing role. You will report to the CEO, join the leadership team and own marketing across the Layer 1 and the products built on it.

You will build a product-led marketing engine that can repeatedly take technical products to market, acquire users and turn launches into sustained growth.

This is a player-coach role. You will set the strategy, build and lead the team, and remain close enough to the work to sharpen positioning, challenge campaigns and lead important launches yourself.

What you'll be doing

  • Own the marketing and growth strategy: Set the priorities, targets and operating model across the Layer 1, first-party DEX, prediction markets protocol and future products.
  • Drive product adoption: Build measurable acquisition, activation and retention programmes for traders, developers, partners and the wider Web3 market.
  • Lead positioning and launches: Define the venture’s narrative and create clear positioning and go-to-market plans for each product.
  • Build a high-performing function: Shape the team, establish clear accountability and keep internal and external specialists focused on product and commercial outcomes.

What we are looking for

You are a product and growth-focused marketing leader who has worked successfully across both Web2 financial products and Web3.

You understand the structured, data-led approach to marketing found in fintech or traditional finance. You have also applied that experience within a Web3 environment such as a DeFi, DEX, Layer 1 or Layer 2.

  • Senior marketing leadership experience across both Web2 and Web3
  • End-to-end ownership of positioning, go-to-market and growth
  • Evidence of increasing users, trading volume, revenue or market share
  • A strong understanding of acquisition, activation and retention
  • Experience leading teams while remaining hands-on
  • The ability to use data to prioritise decisions and measure results

If you have built and scaled marketing across both Web2 financial products and Web3, and want to shape how a next-generation blockchain ecosystem goes to market, we’d like to hear from you.

Build a standout application

For the Head of Marketing at Improbable, reviewers look for concise evidence over buzzwords. Mirror the language of the posting sparingly, quantify support or delivery outcomes, and show how you handled ambiguity, time-zone collaboration and user empathy. Keep your resume to impact, keep your cover note to one page, and link to artifacts — tickets resolved, docs shipped, dashboards owned — that prove you can operate in a fast-moving Web3 team. Prepare to discuss a time you turned a confusing user report into a clear fix and how you measure quality in support and operations.

Web3 hiring values reliability: on-time follow-through, clear writing, and a track record of improving runbooks and tooling. Treat the application as a work sample. For interviews, be ready to walk through how you prioritize across time zones, handle a difficult user, and decide when to escalate versus resolve directly. Show how you document decisions so the next teammate benefits.

In a distributed Web3 org, trust builds through written clarity. Use the cover note to demonstrate it.
