Frontier Tower is turning a high-rise into stacked housing, work, and community space for AI, crypto, biotech, and longevity builders. Unlike rotating popups, the bet is permanence inside an existing city rather than a remote campus. It is often framed as a blueprint for inter-city network societies that stay plugged into a major metro. A 16-floor San Francisco tower converting into a vertical coliving village for frontier tech builders.
A self-governed vertical village in a 16-floor building in San Francisco, serving as a lab for frontier technologies. Open-minded, curious people interested in frontier technologies like AI, biotech, crypto, or arts & music. How is the tower organized? Most floors are divided by field of work.
Others are common convenience spaces. d/acc lounge for cross pollination. Coworking and library. Ethereum and decentralized tech.

History
Frontier Tower is inspired by the fall of the Berlin Wall.
In the 1990s, tens of thousands of people left East Berlin, leaving unoccupied buildings which came to serve as hubs for creative communities to emerge.
2025
Deep Ink Ventures and Berlinhouse materialized this vision and bought the 16-story building for $11 million.
Throughout the first year, the place hosted network state-related events, like the Viva Frontier Tower pop-up village, and is expected to launch a residency program soon.

Last year, three German dudes bought a abandoned office tower in downtown SF. They've since turned it into the most tech-infused office in the world in the form of Frontier Tower.

Frontier Tower has got to be the coolest place I've been to in SF. 16 floors full of builders, humanoid robots, longevity stuff, anything you can think of. You can just work on something on one floor, you have a question about AI, go to the AI floor to get help, then you need help with robotics so you go the robotics floor.

The real reason founders move to SF isn't the capital. It's the hallway conversations. So we built a hallway.
