Ethena Labs and TRON DAO announced that USDe and sUSDe are live on TRON via Stargate Finance for bridging, holding, and transfers, with DeFi integrations on JustLend DAO and SUN.io expected in coming weeks.

Ethena Labs and TRON DAO announced on Sept. 11 that USDe and sUSDe are live on the TRON network, expanding access to Ethena's digital dollar products across one of the world's largest stablecoin settlement networks. Users can now bridge both assets to TRON through Stargate Finance, a cross-chain bridging service, and hold or transfer them across the network, according to Ethena's announcement and its coverage at Gate News.
Support across TRON's core DeFi applications, including JustLend DAO and SUN.io, is expected to roll out over the coming weeks, with broader adoption across wallets, exchanges, and payment applications described as following after that. USDe on TRON will remain connected to liquidity across Ethena's other supported networks, which the companies say keeps the asset usable across the wider multichain setup rather than isolating it on a single chain.
Minting and redeeming USDe remain on Ethereum. The TRON integration allows users to bridge, hold, and transfer the assets on TRON, not to mint them there.
USDe is a synthetic dollar product designed to maintain a peg to the U.S. dollar. sUSDe is its yield-bearing counterpart, which accrues rewards to the holder's balance. On TRON, USDe gives users a second dollar-denominated asset alongside the USDT that already circulates on the network, while sUSDe gives TRON users access to the rewards-bearing variant of the same product line.
The rollout is being done in stages. Bridging and holding are live now. Support inside JustLend DAO and SUN.io is planned for the coming weeks, and wallet, exchange, and payment integration is described as coming later. The companies have not published a schedule with specific dates for the DeFi integrations.
The companies named JustLend DAO and SUN.io as the first DeFi applications expected to support the assets. Which of TRON's other lending markets, trading venues, and wallets will integrate USDe and sUSDe next remains unspecified in the announcement. The release describes the phased approach as intended to let the assets appear where users already do business on TRON, but it does not say which applications have committed to integration.
TRON hosts over 403 million total user accounts, more than 15 billion total transactions, and over $28 billion in total value locked, based on TRONSCAN data cited in the announcement. TRON also hosts the largest circulating supply of USDT stablecoin, exceeding $94 billion. Taken together, the figures describe a network where dollar-denominated transfers are the dominant activity: the largest USDT supply of any network, transaction counts in the tens of billions, and a user base measured in hundreds of millions of accounts.
Ethena lists that volume as the reason for the rollout. The decision to bring a competing dollar-pegged product onto the same rails puts USDe and sUSDe next to the asset most TRON users already hold. The announcement does not say whether the two will be interchangeable inside the same applications, only that both will circulate on the network.
Guy Young, founder of Ethena Labs, said that TRON holds a large user base that already deals in digital dollars in significant size, and that the rollout lets those users hold a dollar that accrues rewards on the network they already use. He called the step part of Ethena's effort to bring its digital dollar products to as many people as possible.
Justin Sun, founder of TRON, said millions of people use the TRON network daily for payments, savings, and value transfer, and that the integration broadens the options available to them while strengthening the network as infrastructure for everyday use.
USDe is now supported on more than a dozen networks and is integrated with leading centralized exchanges and DeFi applications, according to Ethena. The TRON addition is described as the latest step in that expansion rather than a change to how USDe operates. sUSDe, the staked variant, is the product that accrues rewards, and its entry to TRON is the first time Ethena's yield product is available for holding on that network.
Ethena Labs is the development team behind USDe and USDtb and a contributor to the Ethena protocol, which it describes as the broader system the tokens operate under. The company calls USDe the fastest growing dollar-denominated crypto asset in the category's history, a claim its announcement does not document with supply or volume figures.
Ethena is backed by Fidelity, Franklin Templeton, Dragonfly, Binance Labs, Bybit, and OKX, among others, according to the announcement. The list mixes firms from regulated finance with crypto-native funds, which Ethena presents as a distribution base spanning both traditional venues and on-chain applications.
The integration does not change USDe's risk profile or how the synthetic dollar maintains its peg. The announcement addresses distribution and access, not the underlying mechanism or reserve composition. Minting and redemption remain on Ethereum, and TRON serves as a place to bridge, hold, and move the assets rather than a place to create them.
The announcement also does not specify transaction fees for bridging to TRON, how rewards accrued through sUSDe will be paid to holders on the network, or what happens to TRON-held balances if a supported application later disables support.
For readers, the practical effect is narrow but concrete. A user who already holds USDe or sUSDe on another supported network can now move those balances onto TRON and keep them there, while a TRON user who wants the rewards-bearing sUSDe product must first obtain it through the same bridging path, because minting is confined to Ethereum. The two assets otherwise behave on TRON as they do elsewhere: USDe tracks the dollar, and sUSDe adds an accruing balance on top of that peg. None of that changes how either product is created or redeemed today.
Stargate Finance is the only bridging route named in the announcement, and Ethena has not said whether additional bridges will follow. The companies also did not state whether USDe and sUSDe received audits or formal security reviews specific to the TRON deployment, or whether the tokens will be accepted as collateral on JustLend DAO and SUN.io once those integrations land. Those details are not addressed in the release, and no TRONSCAN entry, deployment address, or contract reference was published alongside the announcement for independent verification of the live deployment.
