About the team
Company context from the listing:
The control plane is what turns a fleet of GPUs into a cloud product. As we move to a global, multi-region platform, you will build the tenant, quota, billing, ticketing, RBAC, console, and API systems — and the self-service automation that breaks the delivery bottleneck and lets the platform scale without linear headcount growth.
What you will be responsible for
- Design and build control-plane services: tenant management, quota, metering / billing, ticketing, RBAC / permissions, and the customer portal & API.
- Architect the global vs. regional control-plane split and cross-region consistency for tenant / quota / billing.
- Build self-service onboarding and automation to eliminate manual delivery steps.
- Ensure billing / metering correctness and auditability.
- Build operational tooling for detection, isolation, and recovery to improve stability.
- Develop region-aware scheduling / placement in partnership with Compute.
How you will stand out:
- 3+ years (Senior 6+) building backend services / control planes / web platforms.
- Strong backend engineering (Go / Java / Python), API design, and distributed systems.
- Experience with multi-tenant SaaS / cloud control planes; billing / quota systems a strong plus.
- Frontend / console (React / Vue) for full-stack contributors (a subset of the HC).
- Knowledge of RBAC, auth (OAuth / OIDC), and audit.
- Multi-region / distributed-consistency experience a plus.
What you will experience working with us
- A culture that values authenticity and diversity of thoughts and backgrounds;
- An inclusive and respectable environment with open workspaces and exciting start-up spirit;
- Fast-growing company with the chance to network with industrial pioneers and enthusiasts;
- Ability to contribute directly and make an impact on the future of the digital asset industry;
- Involvement in new projects, developing processes/systems;
- Personal accountability, autonomy, fast growth, and learning opportunities;
- Attractive welfare benefits and developmental opportunities such as training and mentoring.

Build a standout application
For the Cloud API Engineer at Bitdeer, reviewers look for concise evidence over buzzwords. Mirror the language of the posting sparingly, quantify support or delivery outcomes, and show how you handled ambiguity, time-zone collaboration and user empathy. Keep your resume to impact, keep your cover note to one page, and link to artifacts — tickets resolved, docs shipped, dashboards owned — that prove you can operate in a fast-moving Web3 team. Prepare to discuss a time you turned a confusing user report into a clear fix and how you measure quality in support and operations.
Web3 hiring values reliability: on-time follow-through, clear writing, and a track record of improving runbooks and tooling. Treat the application as a work sample. For interviews, be ready to walk through how you prioritize across time zones, handle a difficult user, and decide when to escalate versus resolve directly. Show how you document decisions so the next teammate benefits.
In a distributed Web3 org, trust builds through written clarity. Use the cover note to demonstrate it.
