About Polymarket

Company context from the listing:

Polymarket is the world’s largest prediction market platform. We enable individuals to express views on real-world events by trading on outcomes across politics, economics, sports, culture, and current affairs.

We're growing fast – both in terms of volume ($21B traded in 2025) and adoption as an alternative news source. Our ambition is to become a ubiquitous beacon of truth in global media and we need your help adding fuel to the fire.

About the Role

Day-to-day scope for the Software Engineer, Polymarket US as described in the posting:

Polymarket is looking for a pragmatic full-stack engineer to join our US Exchange team. You'll build the critical internal systems that power our CFTC-regulated exchange operations—from payment reconciliation and transaction processing to operational dashboards and compliance tooling.

This is a high-impact role where you'll work directly with operations teams, build systems that handle real money at scale, and help establish the technical foundation for our growing US exchange business. If you enjoy solving complex problems in fintech, building tools that people actually use every day, and shipping code that matters, this role is for you.

What You’ll Do

Day-to-day scope for the Software Engineer, Polymarket US as described in the posting:

  • Build tools for US exchange operations. Create systems that help control desk operators, supervisors, and compliance teams manage high-volume payment processing and reconciliation workflows.
  • Ship production features regularly. Launch improvements and fixes frequently in a fast-paced, regulated environment where reliability matters.
  • Work across the full stack. Build frontend interfaces for operational dashboards and backend APIs for transaction processing, reconciliation, and payment provider integrations and other control desk operations.
  • Collaborate with internal teams. Partner closely with operations, compliance, and product to understand workflows, gather feedback, and iterate quickly on tooling.
  • Design for scale and compliance. Build systems that handle thousands of daily transactions while maintaining audit trails and meeting CFTC regulatory requirements.
  • Contribute to technical decisions. Participate in architecture discussions, code reviews, and help establish best practices for the team.

What We’re Looking For

  • 3-7 years of professional software development experience
  • Strong full-stack web development skills with TypeScript. Strong backend experience with Go.
  • Solid experience with React and Node.js (Next.js experience is a plus)
  • Experience building data-heavy applications or internal tools
  • Ability to work with external APIs and integrate third-party services
  • Strong collaboration and communication skills—you work well with non-technical stakeholders
  • Bias for action—comfortable shipping iteratively and refining based on user feedback
  • Builder's mindset—you take pride in creating tools that solve real operational problems
  • (Plus) Experience with MongoDB
  • (Plus) Background in fintech, payments, reconciliation systems, or regulated environments
  • (Plus) Familiarity with customer service or operations tooling
  • (Plus) Understanding of financial data modeling and audit requirements
  • (Plus) Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent

Benefits

What the posting highlights about the offer:

  • Competitive salary & equity
  • Unlimited PTO
  • Full Health, Vision, & Dental coverage
  • 401k match
  • Hardware setup — new MacBook Pro, big display, & accessories

Build a standout application

For the Software Engineer, Polymarket US at Polymarket, reviewers look for concise evidence over buzzwords. Mirror the language of the posting sparingly, quantify support or delivery outcomes, and show how you handled ambiguity, time-zone collaboration and user empathy. Keep your resume to impact, keep your cover note to one page, and link to artifacts — tickets resolved, docs shipped, dashboards owned — that prove you can operate in a fast-moving Web3 team. Prepare to discuss a time you turned a confusing user report into a clear fix and how you measure quality in support and operations.

Web3 hiring values reliability: on-time follow-through, clear writing, and a track record of improving runbooks and tooling. Treat the application as a work sample. For interviews, be ready to walk through how you prioritize across time zones, handle a difficult user, and decide when to escalate versus resolve directly. Show how you document decisions so the next teammate benefits.

In a distributed Web3 org, trust builds through written clarity. Use the cover note to demonstrate it.
