- Draft and advise on terms & conditions, trading agreements and related documentation for new financial products.
- Advise on financial services regulation across relevant jurisdictions (Europe, the UK, the US, Australia and others) — working with local counsel where required — as well
- as related areas such as privacy and data protection.
- Draft, review and negotiate the full range of agreements the business requires, including: (i) documents for major cross-border transactions such as M&A, joint ventures,
- strategic partnerships and investment arrangements; (ii) complex commercial agreements such as financing, broker and asset purchase agreements; and (iii) day-to-day

- Qualified lawyer (LLB/JD or equivalent) admitted to practice in an EU, UK or other common-law jurisdiction, with 7–10 years' experience.
- 7–10 years PQE as a lawyer in a tech or financial services company comparable to eToro
- Strong commercial contracts background — trading/financial services arena
- Solid knowledge of European regulation: MiFID, MiCA and related frameworks
- Proven ability to lead contract negotiations independently with large vendors
- Practical business judgment and genuine commercial mindset not a pure compliance or M&A background
Advantageous if you have:
- Experience with M&A, joint ventures and investment-related transactions.
- Familiarity with US, Australian or other non-EU/UK financial services regimes.
- Experience in another highly regulated, technology-driven industry (e.g. gaming).
Build a standout application
For the Senior Legal Counsel, Commercial & Trading at eToro, reviewers look for concise evidence over buzzwords. Mirror the language of the posting sparingly, quantify support or delivery outcomes, and show how you handled ambiguity, time-zone collaboration and user empathy. Keep your resume to impact, keep your cover note to one page, and link to artifacts — tickets resolved, docs shipped, dashboards owned — that prove you can operate in a fast-moving Web3 team. Prepare to discuss a time you turned a confusing user report into a clear fix and how you measure quality in support and operations.
Web3 hiring values reliability: on-time follow-through, clear writing, and a track record of improving runbooks and tooling. Treat the application as a work sample. For interviews, be ready to walk through how you prioritize across time zones, handle a difficult user, and decide when to escalate versus resolve directly. Show how you document decisions so the next teammate benefits.
In a distributed Web3 org, trust builds through written clarity. Use the cover note to demonstrate it.
