ArkPad

Floating ocean habitation

Philippinesarkpad.co

ArkPad is a construction-oriented project producing floating platforms for ocean living. Unlike social popups, the core product is physical infrastructure rather than a temporary community calendar. It is designed to survive hurricanes, be deployed hundreds of miles from land, and last decades with little to no maintenance without rusting. Polyculture is the practice of growing multiple types of seafoods in close quarters with each other, to create a closed ecosystem that promotes the growth of all organisms.

Samal Island's Reef Resort combines Arkpad-D units with 4 hexafarms in close proximity. It is fully walkable, and uses 'Glamphouses' another seastead design, to hold up to 150 guests per day. You can purchase ownership in some units in the Reef Resort using cryptocurrency, or contact us to ask about the types of seasteads used and if they can be deployed to your property.

These are photographs of a resort that is open, not visualisations of one that is planned. ArkPad are committed to pushing forward new technologies to bring floating cities into reality. Whether the technology is smaller and more stable deep sea platforms, improved mariculture techniques. The Reef Resort shown elsewhere on this page is built and operating; this is what the same system is designed to scale into.

Builds floating structures intended for human habitation on the water. ArkPad runs coliving for founders with an on-site maker and prototyping culture. Stays combine housing with build space for hardware and software projects.
