Position summary

We are looking for a LATAM Policy & Regulatory Specialist to support and expand Crystal’s fast-growing business in the blockchain and cryptocurrency compliance sector across Latin America.

This is a high-visibility, strategic role at the intersection of regulatory advisory, public-sector engagement, and commercial development. You will represent Crystal across associations, industry groups, regulators, law-enforcement agencies, and financial institutions, while also supporting sales and product teams with regulatory expertise and market intelligence.

As Crystal’s regional regulatory ambassador, you will help keep the company ahead of regulatory developments, strengthen our public- and private-sector relationships, and identify business opportunities across LATAM. Your work will have a direct impact on Crystal’s growth in the region.

This is a remote, full-time position, with regular in-person meetings and events across Brazil and Latin America, and occasional international travel.

Duties and responsibilities

Regulatory & Public Sector Engagement

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with regulators, law-enforcement agencies, financial authorities, and public institutions across Brazil and LATAM.
  • Represent Crystal in industry associations, working groups, and public-sector initiatives.
  • Monitor, analyze, and report on regulatory developments related to digital assets, cryptocurrencies, stablecoins, and financial services.
  • Provide regulatory insights to internal teams to support product positioning and market strategy.

Commercial & Sales Support

  • Partner closely with Sales Executives to create, identify and develop new pipeline opportunities.
  • Support opportunity creation and deal progression through regulatory and compliance expertise.
  • Assist with RFPs, regulatory questionnaires, and compliance-related sales materials.
  • Join customer and prospect calls as a regulatory and subject-matter expert.
  • Support renewal conversations and account growth for strategic clients.

Client Advisory & Training

  • Support ongoing client relationships and advise on crypto-regulatory frameworks and policy development.
  • Lead and manage digital-asset risk and regulatory advisory engagements across the region.
  • Own and continuously improve Crystal’s training programs for government agencies and institutions.
  • Design and deliver virtual and onsite training sessions in LATAM.

Research, Content & Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Conduct regulatory and market research and produce qualitative and quantitative reports.
  • Collaborate with Product, Business Development, and Marketing to create content that supports thought leadership and brand visibility.
  • Develop messaging tailored to specific industries, personas, and regulatory audiences.
  • Contribute to webinars, events, and industry presentations.

Requirements

Experience and skills the team lists as required:

Experience in crypto/blockchain compliance, SaaS, FinTech, or RegTech industries preferred.

Strong understanding of AML, compliance, and financial-services regulation.

Experience engaging with regulatory bodies in Brazil is highly preferred; LATAM regional exposure is a strong plus.

Familiarity with financial institutions such as exchanges, fintechs, payment providers, banks, or institutional crypto firms.

Native or fluent Brazilian Portuguese; fluency in English and Spanish.

Excellent presentation, communication, and stakeholder-management skills.

Comfortable with public speaking, training delivery, and executive-level discussions.

Strong relationship-building skills across both public and private sectors.

Self-motivated, creative, proactive, and results-driven.

Ability to work independently in a remote environment and manage multiple priorities.

Comfortable supporting commercial objectives while maintaining regulatory credibility.

Full-time availability.

Willingness to travel domestically and internationally when required.

Build a standout application

For the LATAM Policy and Regulatory Specialist (Remote) at Crystal Intelligence, reviewers look for concise evidence over buzzwords. Mirror the language of the posting sparingly, quantify support or delivery outcomes, and show how you handled ambiguity, time-zone collaboration and user empathy. Keep your resume to impact, keep your cover note to one page, and link to artifacts — tickets resolved, docs shipped, dashboards owned — that prove you can operate in a fast-moving Web3 team. Prepare to discuss a time you turned a confusing user report into a clear fix and how you measure quality in support and operations.

Web3 hiring values reliability: on-time follow-through, clear writing, and a track record of improving runbooks and tooling. Treat the application as a work sample. For interviews, be ready to walk through how you prioritize across time zones, handle a difficult user, and decide when to escalate versus resolve directly. Show how you document decisions so the next teammate benefits.

In a distributed Web3 org, trust builds through written clarity. Use the cover note to demonstrate it.
