At GoMining, a General Manager is the end-to-end owner of a business direction, responsible for its strategy, P&L, product, team, and overall results. A GM combines business, product, and operational ownership — setting priorities, managing unit economics, driving execution, and making decisions based on data. The goal is to run the direction as a business and take full responsibility for its growth, profitability, and performance.

We are looking for a General Manager to own the Cards business at GoMining.

You will be responsible for the card product end-to-end — from issuing and processing infrastructure to activation, spending, subscription, cashback, KYC, provider relationships, and unit economics.

This is a business ownership role, not just a product role. You will own the strategy, P&L, product roadmap, delivery, key metrics, provider relationships, and engineering team behind the Cards direction.

Your goal is to build a card product customers actively use while creating sustainable economics for the company.

Responsibilities

Business Ownership

  • Own the Cards business end-to-end, including strategy, P&L, budget, roadmap, and execution.
  • Define and manage the economics of the card program.
  • Own TPV, active cards, customer spending, retention, and monetisation.
  • Build financial models covering revenue, card issuance costs, processing costs, customer margin, and LTV.
  • Identify opportunities to improve profitability and customer engagement.
  • Present strategy, performance, and key decisions directly to C-level stakeholders.

Card Product

  • Own the full card customer journey from onboarding and issuance to activation and everyday spending.
  • Develop virtual and physical card products.
  • Own subscription, cashback, and other card-related mechanics.
  • Improve activation rates and increase customer spending.
  • Develop simplified onboarding and KYC flows together with Compliance.
  • Own card-related customer experience and continuously identify friction points.

Issuing & Processing

  • Own relationships with issuing, processing, BaaS, and other card infrastructure providers.
  • Manage integrations and operational dependencies.
  • Negotiate commercial terms with providers.
  • Reduce vendor lock-in and build resilience against changes in provider terms or availability.
  • Ensure the card business can continue operating reliably as it scales.
  • Manage critical incidents involving providers together with engineering.

Economics & Growth

  • Understand and optimize the unit economics of every active card.
  • Track customer profitability, card issuance and servicing costs, transaction economics, retention, and LTV.
  • Identify opportunities to increase transaction volume and customer engagement.
  • Design product mechanics that encourage customers to keep spending through GoMining Cards.
  • Work with Growth and Marketing on acquisition, activation, and retention initiatives.

Team & Delivery

  • Lead the engineering team responsible for the Cards direction.
  • Work directly with the Tech Lead on architecture and delivery.
  • Own roadmap, priorities, backlog, releases, and key incidents.
  • Hire and develop team members when needed.
  • Build a high-speed, data-driven execution culture.
  • Use AI and automation across product development, analytics, specifications, QA, and operational processes.
  • Strong end-to-end experience with card products.
  • Experience with issuing, processing, BaaS, or card infrastructure.
  • Experience launching or scaling a card program.
  • Strong understanding of card unit economics.
  • Ability to model customer margin, transaction economics, issuance costs, and LTV.
  • Experience negotiating directly with card providers.
  • Experience managing dependency on external providers and ideally reducing vendor lock-in.
  • Strong product and commercial mindset.
  • Experience owning revenue or P&L is highly preferred.
  • Strong analytical and data-driven approach.
  • Technical literacy and ability to work directly with engineering teams.
  • Experience managing product or engineering teams.
  • Experience in fintech, neobanking, payments, crypto cards, wallets, or exchanges is highly relevant.
  • Professional growth: support for courses, conferences, and English learning (up to 100% coverage).
  • Work-life fit: remote or hybrid format with flexible hours across international teams.
  • Paid leave: up to 20 vacation days + 8 company holidays + 5 personal days per year
  • Recognition programs: structured performance reviews and team awards.
  • Team culture: retreats in international locations (for example, company apartments in Cyprus).
