The Role
Day-to-day scope for the Frontend/UI Web Developer as described in the posting:
As Frontend/UI Developer at Etherscan, you will be able to:
- Maintain and update the design of one of the most-used blockchain interfaces in the world
- Create and improve on the user experience of a diverse set of products and features
- Integrate UX best practices with a novel, fast-moving industry
In this role, you will:
- Have thorough understanding of blockchain in general as well as users of our products and build UI/UX that is suitably catered to each user segment
- Develop new user-facing features
- Create quality wireframes, mockups & prototypes and map out the interactions between different elements & actions of a product
- Ensure consistency in design and functionality across all platforms, browsers and screen sizes while maintaining a clean and minimal look
- Continuously improve the flows and interactions of our product to create the best UX imaginable for our users
- Help back-end developers with coding and troubleshooting
- Ensure high quality graphic standards and brand consistency
- Keep up with evolving UI/UX best practices
You will be a great fit if:
- At least a Bachelor's Degree/Post Graduate Diploma/Professional Degree in Computer Science/Information Technology, Art/Design/Creative Multimedia or equivalent
- At least 2 Years of working experience in a related field
- Required Skill(s): HTML, CSS, JavaScript, Bootstrap, Responsive Design, Frontend Design, Github, Web Standards, Modern Apps, CSS Frameworks such as SASS
- Solid knowledge of HTML, CSS and Javascript, while familiarity with Bootstrap is a must-have
- Self-motivated and can work dependently with minimal supervision
- Ability to share and receive constructive feedback across cross-functional teams
- A mind open to make breaking changes to the design work flow if necessary to achieve overall end-goals
- A perfectionist that scrutinizes each detail whether big or small, so that each pixel and each interaction is inch-perfect
- Self-initiative to improve every angle of the product, enhance day-to-day experience of users and increase product stickiness
