One Chain, Two Audiences, One City
Most conferences try to please everyone and end up pleasing no one. Ethereum Korea One takes the opposite bet. The organizers describe their own concept plainly: same chain, different languages. Joseph Lubin, co-founder of Ethereum and founder of Consensys, tops the bill alongside Tom Lee, chairman of Bitmine and co-founder of Fundstrat. Joseph Chalom arrives as CEO of SharpLink after years as a BlackRock managing director, Chetan Karkhanis joins from Franklin Templeton, Ed Felten from Offchain Labs, Kyle Jenke as chief business officer of Optimism, and Min Lin heads global business development for Ondo Finance.
Just as telling are the local names. DB Securities - also the event's title sponsor - sends both its CEO Bongseok Kwak and the head of its digital asset business team. KB Securities' head of its AI and Digital Center, Hanwha Investment & Securities' digital asset research lead, Kyobo Securities' digital asset head and Toss corporate development all appear on the lineup. When that many Korean brokerages put digital-asset executives on a public stage, the domestic institutional shift is no longer theoretical.
Day Two Hands the Mic to Builders
Seongsu hosts the builder day, branded Genesis, which the organizers describe as Korea's builders backed by the Ethereum Foundation - a day about philosophy and engineering rather than price. The protocol-heavy roster includes Felix Lange from the Ethereum Foundation, Ethereum Foundation alumni Luca Zanolini and Bosul Mun, EthCC organizer Jerome de Tychey, Lido's chief of staking Isidoros Passadis, Compound Foundation's Chris, Virtuals' Jansen Teng, StarkWare's Ilia Volokh, Uniswap Labs growth and Pantera Capital's Danning Sui.
Two details make this day unusual. First, the format leans on lightning demos and firesides instead of endless keynotes, which suits an audience of contributors who would rather show working code than recite roadmaps. Second, university blockchain societies from Seoul National University, Yonsei and POSTECH share the program - a deliberate signal that the pipeline of Korean Ethereum developers is part of the show, not an afterthought.
Thirteen Teams and a Title Sponsor
Ethereum Korea One is not produced by a single company. Thirteen teams co-organize it, including Nonce Classic, ECK, Kryptoplanet, Four Pillars, DSRV, Radius, Nodeinfra, Wavebridge, Undefined Labs, Sunnyside Labs and Lambda256, with DB Securities as title sponsor and Altus and ETHGAS as main partners.
