We are looking for a Senior Engineer to join our Payments & Wallet team (also known as PAW 🐾) — the core group handling asset management, compliance, and On-chain Services & Integrations (Superwallet) at Coinhako.
In this role, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining high-performance services that power our payments and wallet infrastructure. You’ll collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration across systems, optimize transaction workflows, and enhance platform reliability and scalability.
What you'll be doing
- Architect and build scalable backend services. Our tech stack is Rails 7, Go, Sidekiq, REST, AWS, Docker;
- Design and build high-volume APIs used by our frontends and external traders;
- Take initiative to ensure the long-term quality of the code and drive decisions related to the architecture of production systems;
- Manage and maintain custody solutions for digital assets. Ensure the highest level of security and compliance in handling and storing digital assets, including cryptocurrencies, tokens, and digital records;
- Collaborate with other engineers, product managers and designers during various product development stages;
- Improve engineering standards, tooling, and processes.
What we're looking for
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field;
- Understand good practices of building and working with APIs;
- Have 5+ years of building scalable distributed systems with a strong background in Ruby, Go is a plus;
- Comfortable with ambiguity and scoping solutions with your teammates;
- You’re organized, proactive and can be your own manager;
- Knowledge of cryptography and security principles in blockchain as well as compliance and regulatory frameworks for cryptocurrency.
