THE WORK
At Ripple Treasury, we're transforming how the world's largest enterprises move, manage, and optimize liquidity. With over 40 years of treasury management expertise combined with Ripple's digital asset infrastructure, we're helping Fortune 500 CFOs and treasurers unlock idle capital and process payments in real-time, processing approximately $12.5 trillion in payment volume annually.
This is a commercial, quota-bearing role covering Europe, the Middle East and Africa. The renewal manager who takes it gets a portfolio of enterprise treasury customers and a quarterly target for retention and revenue growth across it. Fifteen countries, a dozen currencies, and no two renewals that look alike!
So what does a week actually look like?
Mostly customers. Reading usage and support history to work out which accounts have gone quiet. Sitting across from a procurement lead who has been told to cut vendor spend. Working out whether an account that just turned Red is worth fighting for or worth releasing cleanly. Then telling leadership, plainly, where the book is going to land.
Three things matter here: keeping customers, growing revenue where the value is real, and knowing the people well enough that a renewal is rarely a surprise.
You'll be based in London and report to the Director of Renewals & Retention.
Key Responsibilities
Most of the job is renewal strategy and negotiation. Price increases, multi-year structures, module changes, and amendments. Renewal proposals that connect the price to the value the customer is actually getting, which means understanding what they use before talking about what it costs.
A good chunk is risk. Usage data, support history, corporate change, stakeholder turnover: the signals that show an account is drifting before the customer says so. Every at-risk account ends up as either a save with a named owner and a date, or a clean, well-documented walk. There is no third state.
Who do you spend the rest of the time with?
Treasury, finance and procurement leaders at some of Europe's largest enterprises, with the aim of becoming the commercial contact they call first. Business reviews are part of that, less as a presentation and more as a chance to surface problems while there is still time to fix them. Customer Success and Support are partners on account health, and Account Management gets involved whenever a renewal opens a cross-sell.
Forecasting matters more than it sounds like it should. Salesforce needs to be right, and when it isn't, fixing it is part of the work rather than someone else's problem.
WHAT YOU'LL BRING
Have you carried a retention number on a busy book and hit it? That's the heart of what we're looking for. Specifically:
- Five or more years in renewals, account management, customer success or another commercial role at a B2B SaaS, FinTech or enterprise software company.
- Experience carrying and hitting a quota, whether that was retention, renewal or new business.
- Comfort negotiating price with procurement teams, and running deals with finance and legal in the room.
- Experience managing a large book independently, with the discipline to know what's coming up and what needs attention now.
- EMEA experience across several countries and currencies. Another European language helps.
Treasury, banking or payments background is a bonus rather than a requirement. We can teach the domain. What's harder to teach is knowing how to hold price without damaging a relationship, and knowing when to trade something for term instead.
Writing well matters too. A good conversation with a Group Treasurer and a follow-up email that actually gets answered turn out to be the same skill.
Sound like a book worth taking on? We'd like to hear from you!
