ETHPrague 2027

May 14 - 16, 2027
Municipal House, Prague, Czech Republic
ETHPrague 2027
Expected Attendance1,500+ builders, cryptographers, and researchers

ETHPrague gathers builders, cryptographers, and protocol researchers at Prague's historic Municipal House (Obecní dům) for three days of conference talks, workshops, and intensive hacking. Positioned deliberately as a cypherpunk unconference and hackathon, ETHPrague explores the frontiers of Ethereum scalability, censorship resistance, localism, and cryptographic primitives without corporate sponsorship noise.

Prague's cypherpunk heritage

Prague has deep historical roots in digital privacy and cypherpunk counterculture, being the home of the world's first Bitcoin mining pool (Slush Pool), the first hardware wallet (Trezor), and Paralelní Polis, the famous crypto-anarchy cultural center. ETHPrague honors that lineage with an agenda focused uncompromisingly on freedom technology, privacy, and censorship resistance.

Speakers avoid sales pitches; instead, presentations emphasize cryptographic proofs, decentralized governance failures, and practical mechanisms for surviving state-level network disruptions.

The Municipal House setting & venue logistics

Obecní dům is one of Prague's most celebrated Art Nouveau architectural treasures, located right in the center of the Old Town (Staré Město) next to the Powder Tower. Attendees hack and collaborate beneath ornate frescoed ceilings, stained glass, and marble colonnades, creating a surreal juxtaposition of cutting-edge cryptography within 20th-century architectural elegance.

The Náměstí Republiky metro station (Line B) is directly outside, connecting quickly to Prague's main train station (Hlavní nádraží) and Václav Havel Airport via transit.

Builder hackathon and technical deep dives

ETHPrague runs a competitive 48-hour hackathon alongside the main stages, with teams building tools for zero-knowledge privacy, decentralized identity, and autonomous coordination. Mentors from across the European Ethereum ecosystem provide round-the-clock guidance.

Prague's affordability, world-class public transit, and walkable historic center make it one of the favorite stops on the European hacker circuit.
