We are expanding our regional operations and are seeking an experienced executive to help scale our business, strengthen operational excellence, and drive execution across multiple jurisdictions.
Key Responsibilities
We are looking for a Deputy CEO who will primarily perform the functions of a Regional Chief Operating Officer (COO). The successful candidate will oversee day-to-day operations, coordinate cross-functional teams, and ensure the successful execution of strategic initiatives while supporting the CEO in achieving the company's long-term objectives.
This is a senior leadership position requiring strong operational expertise within the traditional payments industry and the ability to manage regulated financial services across multiple European markets.
- Lead and coordinate operational activities across Telcoin Europe's regional business.
- Execute the company's strategic objectives and ensure efficient day-to-day operations.
- Develop and optimize operational processes, governance frameworks, and internal controls.
- Support expansion into new European markets and manage cross-border operational projects.
- Build and maintain relationships with banking partners, payment service providers, schemes, and other financial institutions.
- Oversee implementation and optimization of payment products and operational processes.
- Drive operational efficiency through automation, process improvements, and performance management.
- Manage external service providers and strategic partners.
- Support regulatory projects and operational readiness for new financial products.
- Monitor operational risks and ensure appropriate mitigation measures are implemented.
- Prepare management reports and present operational performance to senior management and the Board.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Minimum 3 years of senior management experience within regulated financial services.
- Extensive experience in traditional payments, including one or more of:
- SEPA Credit Transfers
- SEPA Instant
- SWIFT payments
- Correspondent banking
- Payment Institutions (PI)
- Electronic Money Institutions (EMI)
- Card issuing and acquiring
- Payment operations
- Treasury operations
- Demonstrated experience working with banks, payment processors, payment schemes, and financial infrastructure providers.
- Strong understanding of European payment regulations, including PSD2 and operational requirements applicable to regulated financial institutions.
- Experience managing cross-functional and international teams.
- Strong project and programme management capabilities.
- Excellent stakeholder management and negotiation skills.
- Ability to operate in a fast-growing, technology-driven environment.
- Resident of Lithuania
- Fluent English (written and spoken).
Preferred / Nice-to-Have Qualifications
- Experience with embedded finance, Banking-as-a-Service (BaaS), fintech, or digital asset businesses.
- Knowledge of MiCA, AML/CTF frameworks, and financial crime controls.
- Experience working with regulators or supervisory authorities.
- Previous executive experience within a multinational financial institution or fintech.
