About Stripe

Stripe is a financial infrastructure platform for businesses. Millions of companies - from the world's largest enterprises to the most ambitious startups - use Stripe to accept payments, grow their revenue, and accelerate new business opportunities. Our mission is to increase the GDP of the internet, and we have a staggering amount of work ahead. That means you have an unprecedented opportunity to put the global economy within everyone's reach while doing the most important work of your career.

About The Team

Specialist Solutions Architects (SSA) are domain experts aligned to specific Stripe solutions and customer buying centers. We have in-depth knowledge of specific solution offerings and a deep understanding of customer challenges. We align with specialist product sellers on deals, advise the broader pre-sales team on complex opportunities, support pipeline development and revenue attainment, serve as an advisor on go-to-market sales plays, and provide critical insights to our product and engineering teams.

Key Responsibilities

As Head of Specialist Solutions Architecture for Revenue, you'll set the regional strategy and grow Stripe's SSA organization across the Americas. This role combines deep product expertise with regional leadership to help customers achieve their business goals through our suite of revenue management solutions.

  • Define and execute Stripe's technical sales strategy for the Revenue Suite in collaboration with Sales leaders, Marketing, Professional Services, Alliances, and Product Engineering
  • Build repeatable playbooks and establish execution best practices for Stripe's billing and revenue recognition offerings
  • Recruit, mentor, develop, and inspire team members to do the best work of their careers
  • Advise CXOs, developers, architects, and other technical decision-makers on their long-term architectural direction for revenue management
  • Champion the voice of our customers and influence product direction and priorities across the revenue management ecosystem
  • Partner with Sales, Professional Services, Support, and Product Engineering to guide customers from business and technical discovery through adoption, value realization, and expansion
  • Drive thought leadership through Executive Briefing Center (EBC) presentations, industry events, white papers, and reference architectures focused on revenue management best practices
  • Build cross-regional collaboration and knowledge sharing across AMER and global functional teams to ensure consistent excellence across markets
  • Shape the go-to-market approach for Stripe's Revenue Suite across AMER, including localization for regional regulatory requirements and market-specific billing practices

Candidate Profile & Mindset

We're looking for someone who meets the minimum requirements to be considered for the role. If you meet these requirements, you are encouraged to apply. The preferred qualifications are a bonus, not a requirement.

Minimum requirements

  • 15+ years in technical sales, solutions architecture, solution consulting, or a related customer-facing technical role
  • 10+ years building and scaling pre-sales teams including hiring, managing, coaching, and developing individual contributors
  • Deep understanding of subscription models, billing systems, and revenue recognition principles
  • Experience designing complex enterprise systems that support human-centric CX
  • Experience operating across the United States, Canada, and Latin America markets and cultures
  • Strong executive presence, relationship-building, and cross-functional partnership skills
  • Ability to explain complex concepts to both business and technical audiences
  • Willingness to travel up to 30% of the time.

About Stripe

Stripe, founded in 2010 by Patrick and John Collison in South San Francisco and Dublin, builds financial infrastructure for the internet. Its APIs let millions of businesses accept payments, manage subscriptions, prevent fraud with Radar, and move money with Connect and Treasury. Valued at $65B+ after its 2024 rounds and processing over $1T annually, Stripe is the default for marketplaces, SaaS and AI startups. In Web3, Stripe's crypto on-ramps and USDC payouts bridge traditional checkout with on-chain treasury. Teams emphasize written clarity, rigorous productcraft and owning money movement that must work every time. In addition to global payments infrastructure, Stripe invests heavily in crypto developer tools, USDC stablecoin settlement rails, and automated merchant payouts.
